Succeed Against The Odds

Dec 5, 2017

The life of an entrepreneur has many positive factors associated with it. There is the freedom to do what you believe to be right, no authority telling you what to do, and many others. However, any entrepreneur can tell you that there are also downsides, especially for women. There is so much pressure on us to “have it all together” but we know deep down that this is an unattainable goal. No one is perfect and everyone can use a little help. A large part of being an high performing woman is being a one woman show with full control over everything. However, women prefer and are strongest when they are bonded and connecting to other women. Don’t take my word for it. Diane Rolston explains this exact point in this week’s episode.

My guest this week, Diane Rolston, combines coaching and personal development in order to assure true growth from whomever she’s working with. She is a coach that understands that in order to truly change and prosper, you have to tackle more than just you to-do list. A few years ago, Diane found that networking event after networking event, many were leaving with each other’s business cards but with little to no actual personal connections made. It is through this realization that, amongst other achievements, Diane facilitates discussions and activities for women to grow and connect with one another all over British Columbia.

If any of this sounds familiar to you, you will want to tune into this week’s episode. Diane and I discuss the hardships of being a woman in the business world as well as the importance of overcoming these hardships - together.
